How to get rid of swelling in broken nose?

Yesterday I broke my nose. I was on the sidlines and some kid threw a lacross ball and hit me in the nose. I went to the docter and he said I had a small fracture. My main problem is that it is swolen kind of bad. More on the inside than on the outside. Like it is a little bigger on the outside but I cant breath through my nose.It is like when you are really congested. I have mucus and some dried blood coming out/ So what can I do? I have some big lax games coming up so I thought that if I get the swelling to go down than I can get one of thoes nose guards to play. PLz help
