How do i stop liking him?

I've liked this guy before and I was able to stop, but for some reason I can't do it the same way I did before. I'm thinking that he could be the one but i don't want it to get that far again. I would like him if it wasn't for all the girls going after him. I wanna be just friends, especially since he probably doesn't feel the same way. We talk alot since we have homeroom together and we text and IM each other alot.I don't wanna just start ignoring him and avoiding him because he might think I'm mad at him or something. So how do i prevent myself from liking this guy before it gets too out of hand?
