I am wondering if there is a fuel safety switch on a 1994 sundance and what would cause my fuel pump to cut ou

these cars were great for fuel pumps craping out. if it starts after sitting awhile or after you pound on the bottom of the gas tank a few times with a rubber mallet it's probably a bad pump. no safety switch on these cars. also try switching the asd relay with another similar relay and the same with the fuel pump relay. if you find it is a fuel pump you may need to replace the connectors due to dirt and corrosion. these can be aquired at a chrysler dealer. check the electrical connector with test light. one wire will flash the light when cranking, one is grd., one is fuel sending unit. sorry, right off hand i don't recall which is which though
