My landlady is ignoring my calls and texts?

My boiler was leaking and it took her 3weeks to get somene to come and see it but the boiler had left my ceiling black in the kitchen and bathroom but it was my fault because i set the boiler too high but i didnt know so is it up to me to pay for the paint to cover it or her?
